Meet Our HPN Staff
Dr. Elizabeth Cutright B.S., BSVM D.VM., Advanced Nutrition Response Testing Clinician
Dr Cutright, has been a long time resident of Chicagoland, working 18 years in a blended traditional integrative practice, LePar Animal Hospital on the Southside of Chicago, prior to starting HPN. She is a proud member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association. Through these organizations she has enjoyed lecturing to children and adults alike, lobbying for animal rights and food safety, and promoting veterinary medicine. She is one of less than 15 Advanced Certified Nutrition Response Testers in the country. Through her time at LePar, she developed her love of nutrition and dentistry. After going part time to support her growing family’s needs, she found she missed the daily interactions with her growing base of nutritional clients and from there, Healthier Pets Naturally was born. Through the support of many amazing people from Dr Michelle Herlihy, Happy Dog Barkery, and the amazing staff at LePar; she now has the best of both worlds. She is now close to home for her family and spreading the word that “food is medicine!” |
Jan Smart, HPN Patient Advocate
Jan is not only a patient advocate but a skilled canine massage therapist & reiki master. She has extensive knowledge of essential oils and regularly helps our clients understand their pet's body language and how they can better connect and care for their pets. She is an avid participant in the Greyhound Rescue Association and our personal animal whisper. |
Joie Allen, HPN Patient Advocate
Joie Allen is a student at Vet Tech Institute at Fox College. We are super excited to have her on our team as she comes from a line of "human" healers and now blends her life knowledge for the benefit of our furry friends. She is a wealth of energy and enthusiasm. She too is an animal rescuer and currently lives with two lucky pups. Before going to Tech school, Joie spent two years working with the horses at Medieval Times and a local dressage trainer. This inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. |

Rowdy, HPN mascot, supplement tester, morale booster, and intern trainer
Rowdy came to us as an owner relinquishment when he was unable to be potty trained. A brief NRT assessment and we found his food allergies were stressing his urinary tract. A change in diet, added supplements, some TLC, and he now is officially potty trained. He has become part of the team. He has been a "volunteer" in supplement trials, trained countless students on animal handling, visited schools for educating children on alternative nutrition, and is a general morale booster. We are grateful to have Rowdy as a living breathing example that food can heal and as our team member.
